Tuscany Essay – My Personal Experience

Tuscany has a lot to get inspiration from. This region is situated in central Italy and is famous the world over for its beauty, peaceful environment and friendly locals. The vibrant culture, traditions, historical values, artistic legacy, and landscapes of Tuscany have always gotten the attention of worldwide tourists. Luckily, I am one of them, and I got a chance to spend some months in this beautiful and lively area.

It was in January 2016 when I made my way to Tuscany and was super excited about my decision of going there. Florence was where I decided to rent an apartment. For the first time, I had stepped out of the house all alone as I wanted to pursue a degree in arts. I think no other place is as beautiful and attractive to write an essay as is Tuscany. I had read a lot of stories and watched numerous movies, but the ones that attracted me the most were Under the Tuscan Sun: At Home in Italy. This book is written by American writer and poet Frances Mayes. During the time I was reading the book, I decided to soothe my nerves with a movie. Amazingly, I got to know about the movie of the same name and decided to give it a try.

When it comes to comparing the movie with that of the book, I must admit that there is no comparison between the two. I found the book to be far more interesting and informative than the movie. It is a common observation that filmmakers use a lot of glamorous scenes in their movies in order to attract the audience, and that is why the film failed to come up with my expectations. On the other hand, the book titled Under the Tuscan Sun exceeded my expectations.

My vote goes to the book, but those who favor the movie and do not appreciate the book should remember that it is the same book that remained forefront on the NY Times Best Seller List for over two years. It was indeed a good read for me, and I got to explore the beauty and hidden truths of Tuscany closely and keenly. Later on, I decided to conduct some research and realized that the book and movie were not comparable. Some of the facts revealed in the film were not actually a part of the book, which was a matter of great concern for me since I was new to Italy and wanted to know only what the true story is. On Goodreads, one of the most trustable rating websites, the book was significantly downgraded, and I do not have an idea of why it is so. One of the users named as Leftbanker had given the book only one out of five stars as part of his review, and it made me think that discrimination was being done on the high level. Another user was found to be claiming that the first half of the book was interesting but the second half was good for nothing. All the noun were propped by descriptions as if nothing was able to stand by its own.

My question to this user is “should we rate a book based on what types of words the writer has used in it or the number of nouns present throughout the text?” I strongly believe that this user had only bothered to read the descriptions and did not dig deeper. He did not try to understand what the book actually talked about and how it was better than the film of the same name.

It does not matter what other users or people think and say; what matters to me is how my comfort level is taken care of. During my time in Tuscany, I was provided with all the basic facilities of life. The school where I had taken admission was concerned about its reputation, so they did everything to make my stay in Italy wonderful, incredible and unforgettable.

For everyone who thinks that the books written about Tuscany are good for nothing, my message is you should come to Florence for once and see how beautiful, marvelous and peaceful this place is. There is no hustle and bustle, and during your stay in Tuscany, you will get a chance to closely observe the culture and traditions of this region of Italy.

Tuscany is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and it makes it a renewed area of Italy, a place where a lot of tourists like me would love to come again and again. From one corner of the region to the other, everything is interesting and meaningful. For history, science and art students, it is a place where lots of museums, wine centers, and palaces are present to learn new things from. Museums like the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi are worth seen. Similarly, the wines produced here come in a lot of varieties and tastes, the most special ones being Chianti, Morellino di Scansano, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Tuscany is not only known for its educational centers, pleasant environment, and other similar things but also has a strong cultural and linguistic identity. During my stay here, I got to observe that people speaking different languages were living in this Italian region, and all of them looked happy together. Traditionally, Tuscany is one of the most famous destinations in the world, and it attracts hundreds to thousands of tourists every month. The arrival of tourists in Florence, Montecatini Terme, Pisa, Grosseto, and Castiglione della Pescaia was up to 20,000 per month back in 2016, and it was when I used to see a lot of people walking through the streets of Tuscany and other parts of Italy.

I never missed any chance to write a quality essay on this wonderful part of the world. Luckily, the class teacher had assigned a similar topic, so it took me not enough time to collect relevant data and get started with writing the Tuscany essay. I was quick at collecting information from my books and the internet and began writing the essay. In the introduction, I chose to write a little about the background of Tuscany as well as mentioned its total population. Buy custom essay online customessayorder.com

The body paragraphs were devoted to what made Tuscany an incredible and unique tourist destination and how was my time there. What did I use to do besides studies? I did not forget to share my personal experience in this section, followed by the conclusion where I mentioned that a lot of books are written in Tuscany, and numerous movies have been made.

Still, I feel that the culture and traditions of this region of Italy should be promoted in a better way. If the government is serious about attracting more and more tourist and strengthening the tourism industry, then strong promotion and marketing tactics have to be adapted to ensure that more people visit Tuscany and other Italian regions and cities every year. So, next time you decide to step out of the house to have some fun with family and friends, I would like you to try Tuscany or another region of Italy. Trust me, it won’t let your expectations down.
